The Alfred became the first health service in Australia this year to trial a mechanical CPR machine which performs constant chest compression for patients experiencing cardiac arrest.
Free education and training is available from Alfred Health's Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre over the next few months.
Maintaining access to patient care will remain the priority during a planned weekend site closure of Sandringham Hospital next month - from Saturday, 1 June at midday to Monday, 3 June at 8 am.
